We at Trend Law mourn the passing of Chief Justice Ritu Khullar, Chief Justice of the Alberta, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories Courts of Appeal.

Chief Justice Khullar was an exceptional jurist and a remarkable leader whose humility, compassion, and wisdom inspired many within the legal profession. Described by Alberta Views as a “non-judgmental judge,” she was admired not only for her legal brilliance but also for her humanity and genuine respect for all who appeared before her.

She was one of the most admirable women I have had the privilege to look up to, and her legacy will continue to influence generations of lawyers and judges.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched.
